26:8-68. Upon request of the State registrar, the Attorney General shall assist in the enforcement of the provisions of R.S.26:6-1 et seq., R.S.26:8-1 et seq., R.S.37:1-1 et seq. or P.L.2006, c.103 (C.37:1-28 et al.), or the State registrar may direct that local registrars institute proceedings or civil actions in the name of the State department. Such a proceeding or action may be instituted in any court of competent jurisdiction. Amended 1953, c.26, s.60; 1965, c.78, s.77; 2006, c.103, s.62.
