§ 26:2BB-3 — Appointment of executive director, staff

a.The Governor's Council on Substance Use Disorder shall be administered by an executive director who shall be appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, and shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor during the Governor's term of office and until the appointment and qualification of the executive director's successor.
b.The executive director shall be a person qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of the council.
c.The executive director shall have the authority to employ a deputy executive director, who shall be in the unclassified service of the Civil Service, and such staff as are necessary to accomplish the work of the council within the limits of available appropriations.
