3.The members of the Commission on Aging shall be appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate. The members of the commission shall be selected from among the citizens of the State who have demonstrated interest in the problems of aging and who are generally representative of the varied population of the State. In addition to the 15 citizen members, there shall be two legislative ex officio members of the commission, one appointed by the President of the Senate and one appointed by the Speaker of the General Assembly. The legislative ex officio members shall be appointed for their term of office. The director shall be an ex officio member of the advisory commission.
