6 a. The authority shall employ a president and chief executive officer, who shall be responsible for the selection of properly qualified staff of the authority, without regard to the provisions of Title 11A of the New Jersey Statutes. In selecting staff for the authority, the president and chief executive officer shall seek to recruit women and minorities to serve as the authority's staff. Staff members shall receive compensation and be appointed and employed as provided by the president and chief executive officer, without regard to the provisions of Title 11A of the New Jersey Statutes.
