§ 26:2K-7 — Definitions

1.As used in this act: a. "Advanced life support" means an advanced level of emergency medical care, including specialty care transport, which includes basic life support functions and the use of procedures, medications, and equipment established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's National EMS Scope of Practice Model for paramedics, except for any provisions of the National EMS Scope of Practice Model expressly excluded by the commissioner in rules or regulations, and any other such procedures, medications, and equipment as set forth in section 6 of P.L.1984, c.146 (C.26:2K-12) or as otherwise authorized in rules or regulations promulgated by the commissioner; b.
