§ 24:5-10 — General drug or device adulterations

New Jersey·Title 24 FOOD AND DRUGS

For the purposes of this subtitle a drug or device shall be deemed adulterated: a.

(1)If it consists in whole or in part of any filthy, putrid, or decomposed substance; or (2) if it has been prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions whereby it may have been contaminated with filth, or whereby it may have been rendered injurious to health; or (3) if it is a drug and its container is composed, in whole or in part, of any poisonous or deleterious substance which may render the contents injurious to health; or (4) if it is a drug and it bears or contains, for purposes of coloring only, a coal-tar color other than one from a batch which has been certified under the Federal Act. b.
