Text

A local board of education or county board of vocational education may, upon approval by the State Board of Education, employ as an instructor or administrator an individual who has special training in a particular subject matter field as evidenced by appropriate credentials or licensure and waive the certification requirements generally required of employees of such boards when the individual will be exclusively teaching or administering post-secondary degree or certificate courses and programs authorized under section 7 of P.L.1968, c. 180 (C. 18A:64B-11). Nothing contained herein shall diminish or otherwise affect the eligibility of any such instructor or administrator for tenure under any provision of this Title. L.1978, c. 42, s. 1, eff.
