18A:22-45. Whenever a board of education of a district has received moneys transferred to it, by the governing body or bodies of the municipality or municipalities comprising the district, from unappropriated surplus revenue, or from unappropriated anticipated receipts, of the municipality or municipalities, the board of education shall, subject to the provisions of section 18A:22-46, apply the moneys so received, so far as the same shall be sufficient: a. To the payment of interest on the bonded indebtedness of the district becoming due and payable during the next ensuing school fiscal year; b. To the payment of the principal of the bonded indebtedness of the district maturing in such school fiscal year; and c. To any of the purposes for which bonds of the district shall have been authori
