18A:22-26.

a.At or after the public hearing but not later than April 8, the board of education of a Type II district having a board of school estimate in which the annual school election is in April, shall fix and determine by a recorded roll call majority vote of its full membership the amount of money necessary to be appropriated for the use of the public schools in the district for the ensuing school year, exclusive of the amount which shall be apportioned to it by the commissioner for the year pursuant to the provisions of section 5 of P.L.1996, c.138 (C.18A:7F-5). By that same date, the board of school estimate shall fix and determine by a recorded roll call majority vote of its full membership the amount of any additional funds pursuant to paragraph (9) of subsection d. of section 5
