a.A payer shall reimburse a hospital or health care provider according to the provider contract for all medically necessary emergency and urgent care health care services that are covered under the health benefits plan, including all tests necessary to determine the nature of an illness or injury, pre-hospital transportation, or the provision of emergency health care services.
b.A payer shall allow a covered person and the covered person's health care provider a minimum of 24 hours following an emergency admission or provision of emergency health care services for the covered person or health care provider to notify the payer of the admission or provision of covered services.
