Text

Any person who violates a cease and desist order of the commissioner issued under this chapter shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $5,000.00 for each violation, to be collected by the commissioner in the name of the State in a summary proceeding in accordance with the Penalty Enforcement Law (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.). The commissioner in his discretion may revoke or suspend the license or certificate of authority of any such person. L.1971, c. 144, s. 17B:30-20. Amended by L.1981, c. 452, s. 2, eff.
