Any hospital service corporation organized pursuant to the laws of this State, in addition to other powers conferred upon it, shall be authorized and empowered to include in its contracts benefits not only for hospital services but also benefits for such other similar health care services and supplies or health care services or supplies other than the services of persons licensed to practice medicine or surgery as are approved for such inclusion by the Commissioner of Banking and Insurance.
