§ 17:23A-16 — Service of process--insurance-support organizations
New Jersey·Title 17 CORPORATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS FOR FINANCE AND INSURANCE
Service of process--insurance-support organizations. For the purpose of this act, an insurance-support organization transacting business outside this State which has an effect on a person residing in this State shall be deemed to have appointed the commissioner to accept service of process on its behalf, if the commissioner causes a copy of such service to be mailed forthwith by registered mail to the insurance-support organization at its last known principal place of business. The return postcard receipt for the mailing shall be sufficient proof that the same was properly mailed by the commissioner. L. 1985, c. 179, s. 16.
