§ 17:16G-2 — Debt adjuster

a. No person other than a nonprofit social service agency or a nonprofit consumer credit counseling agency shall act as a debt adjuster. b. It shall be unlawful for any nonprofit social service agency or nonprofit consumer credit counseling agency to act as a debt adjuster without first obtaining a license from the Commissioner of the Department of Banking pursuant to this act. c.
