There is hereby created the New Jersey Insurance Underwriting Association, consisting of all insurers authorized to write and engaged in writing within this State, on a direct basis, property insurance. Every such insurer shall be a member of the association and shall remain a member so long as the association is in existence as a condition of its authority to continue to transact such kinds of insurance in this State. L.1968, c. 129, s. 3, eff. July 1, 1968.
