In the event of any vacancy on the board of trustees or among the officers occasioned by the death, resignation, moving out of the limits of such society or congregation, or any other cause or reason, such vacancy may be filled for the unexpired term by the trustees unless the by-laws expressly provide that any such vacancy shall be filled by the congregation. L.1955, c. 124, p. 606, s. 4, eff. July 8, 1955.
