Text

The department may appoint, removable by the department after charges have been preferred and hearing granted, a State firewarden, and such supervisors, deputies, assistants, other officers and employees as may be needed and fix their compensation. The department may create job titles and appoint with or without annual salary, a work force necessary to conduct the business of the service. Amended by L.1981, c. 369, s. 17, eff. Dec. 30, 1981.
