Text
Whenever the department shall have entered into the compact substantially in the form set forth in RSA 484:17 with the duly authorized agency of any of the states specified in said section, it shall file a certified copy of such compact in the office of the secretary of state and shall notify the governor of its action. Such compact shall thereupon become effective and operative as between this state and such other state or states, subject to the consent of the Congress of the United States, which the governor shall take such steps as may be necessary to obtain. The governor is authorized and requested, upon receiving notice of the filing of the required copy of the compact in the office of the secretary of state, to notify, forthwith the governors of the specified states and the President
