Text

I. A supporter may only exercise the authority granted to the supporter in the agreement. II. A supporter is not a surrogate decision maker for the principal and is not authorized to sign legal or other documents on behalf of the principal or to bind the principal to a legal agreement. III. A supporter may only access protected information if expressly authorized to do so by the principal in the agreement or other written document. IV. A supporter may not do any of the following:

(a)Exert undue influence upon or make decisions on behalf of the principal.
(b)Obtain, without consent of the principal, information that is not reasonably related to matters with which the supporter is authorized to assist under the supported decision-making agreement.
