Text

The state shall compensate the owners for all domestic livestock killed or wounded by hunters for deer, in the open season for deer, in any county. The amount of damages in each case shall be assessed by the commissioner of agriculture, markets, and food or under his direction, and said sum shall be a charge upon the fish and game fund and paid therefrom.
