Text

I.In the event the secretary of state shall schedule a public hearing or hearings or otherwise conduct an investigation pursuant to RSA 421-A:5, the secretary of state shall issue an order prohibiting an offeror from making or continuing with any takeover bid. Every person shall comply with every such order.
II.Following completion of a hearing pursuant to RSA 421-A:5 or the conclusion of his investigation conducted pursuant to such section, but in no event later than 55 days after the filing of a registration statement, the secretary of state shall determine whether the requirements of this chapter have been met and shall issue an order containing his conclusions and the reasons therefor.
