If any provision of this chapter otherwise applicable to a takeover bid for a target company organized under the law of another jurisdiction is inconsistent with a provision of a statute regulating takeovers of such other jurisdiction such that either (a) compliance with the provision of such other law would be impossible or (b) the provision of this chapter would impose greater restrictions on the offeror, the target company, or shareholders of the target company with respect to such takeover bid, then such provision of this chapter shall be inapplicable to such takeover bid; provided, further, that the foregoing provisions of this section shall be inapplicable in the case of any provision of a statute of another jurisdiction if such provision of such statute, or such statute as a whole,
