I. The commissioner may adopt rules to establish minimum standards for benefits under each of the following categories of coverage:

(a)Basic hospital expense coverage.
(b)Basic medical-surgical expense coverage.
(c)Basic hospital/medical-surgical expense coverage.
(d)Hospital confinement indemnity coverage.
(e)Major medical expense coverage.
(f)Basic medical expense coverage.
(g)Disability income protection coverage.
(h)Accident only coverage.
(i)Specified disease coverage.
(j)Specified accident coverage.
(k)Limited benefit health coverage.
(l)Student major medical expense coverage.
(m)Paid family medical leave coverage. II. Nothing in this section shall preclude the issuance of any policy or contract which combines 2 or more of the categories of coverage enumerated in subpara
