Text

If the biennial or annual meeting in any town shall not have been held, or if there has never been any legal meeting of the town; or if, by reason of death, removal from the town, disability or resignation of the board of selectmen, no member of the board remains in office, a justice of the superior court, on application of 25 voters, or of 1/6 part of the voters of the town, may issue a warrant for such meeting.
