Text
Whenever he or she considers it necessary the commissioner may engage the services of one or more outside accountants or other experts to perform an audit or such further examination as he or she deems necessary, except that the engagement of legal services shall be with the approval of the attorney general. The compensation and expenses of each outside accountant or other expert shall be a charge against the examined entity and shall be paid directly by that entity.
