I. For the purposes of RSA 231:79-81, a highway to summer cottages may be designated:

(a)By the selectmen, upon petition, pursuant to RSA 231:8-12, to lay out a new highway or alter an existing highway; or

(b)By a majority vote of the town to designate an existing class V highway as a highway to summer cottages. II. A highway which has been designated a highway to summer cottages may be opened, maintained and repaired the entire year:

(a)By the selectmen, upon petition, pursuant to the procedures of RSA 231:8-12; or

(b)By majority vote of the town. III. The designation of a highway to summer cottages shall not be deemed altered by any change of use of land served by said highway, in the absence of action pursuant to paragraph II. IV. By a majority vote of the legislative body, a town m

The extended period shall remain in effect until amended or rescinded by majority vote of the legislative body.
