Text
No boiler or pressure vessel which does not conform to the applicable codes and amendments thereto and the rules adopted by the commissioner governing new construction and installation shall be installed and operated in this state unless the boiler or pressure vessel is of special design or construction, and is not inconsistent with the spirit and safety objectives of such codes and rules, in which case a special installation and operating permit may at the commissioner's discretion be granted by the commissioner.
