The general court of this state hereby ratifies the following compact to become effective at such time as the legislative bodies of any 3 of the eligible states also ratify it. New England State Police Compact Article I. Purposes The purposes of this compact are to:

A.Provide close and effective cooperation and assistance in detecting and apprehending those engaged in organized criminal activities;
B.Establish and maintain a central criminal intelligence bureau to gather, evaluate and disseminate to the appropriate law enforcement officers of the party state information concerning organized crime, its leaders and their associates;
C.Provide mutual aid and assistance in the event of police emergencies, and to provide for the powers, duties, rights, privileges and immunities of police per
