Text
The director may provide for members of the auxiliary police force uniforms and equipment necessary in the performance of their duties, but all such property shall remain the property of the state. The director shall maintain an inventory of said property and shall charge against each member the value of the property issued to him. If it shall be determined by the director that any loss or destruction of such property was due to carelessness or neglect on the part of such member the value of such property shall be paid by such member and the amount thereof may be deducted from the compensation of such member.
