§ 43-37-02 — Definitions
North Dakota·Title 43 Occupations and Professions·Ch. 43-37 Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists
As used in this chapter, unless the context or subject matter otherwise requires:
1."Audiologist" means an individual licensed by the board to practice audiology.
2."Audiology" means the application of principles, methods, and procedures of
measurement, testing, evaluation, prediction, consultation, counseling, instruction,
habilitation, or rehabilitation related to hearing and disorders of hearing including
vestibular testing, for the purpose of evaluating, identifying, managing, preventing,
ameliorating, or modifying such disorders and conditions in individuals or groups of
individuals.
3."Board" means the state board of examiners on audiology and speech-language
pathology.
4."Habilitation" and "rehabilitation" include hearing aid evaluation and recommendation,
