Text
The board may require a physical therapy or physical therapy assistant applicant, or a
licensee under investigation, to submit to a statewide and nationwide criminal history record
check, including a fingerprint-based criminal history background check. The criminal history
record check must be conducted in the manner provided by section 12-60-24. The criminal
history record check is an exempt record but may not be disseminated by the board to the
physical therapy compact commission or a similar entity. All costs associated with a criminal
history record check performed under this section are the responsibility of the applicant or
licensee.
