Text
The following persons are not required to be licensed by and are not subject to regulation by the board under this chapter:
1.Employees of public utilities engaged in the manufacture and distribution of electrical
energy while engaged in work directly pertaining to the manufacture and distribution of
electrical energy. This exemption terminates at the first point of service attachment,
except for the installing or testing of electric meters and measuring devices and the
maintenance of electric meters and measuring devices.
2.Employees, independent contractors, or subcontractors of a company that is a
telecommunication carrier as defined under section 57-34-01 or that is a satellite or
cable systems provider, while acting in the scope of employment or the terms of the
contract.
