Text
1. An individual may apply for a restricted barber license if the applicant: a. Has not been disciplined relating to the practice of barbering in the previous five years; b. Passes a written examination of the laws and rules governing practice in the state, as established by the board; and c. Has a background in barbering as demonstrated by:
(1)Successfully completing a restricted barber course, as established by the
board, at a licensed barbering school or a barbering program within the
public school system; or
(2)Holding, within the previous five years, an active and valid license to
practice barbering in another state or country.
2. A licensed restricted barber shall work in a licensed host shop and may not own or
operate a shop.
