§ 4.1-31-18 — Cooperation with federal government
The commissioner shall cooperate with the United States department of agriculture to
develop and administer the state meat inspection program provided for under this chapter and
to ensure its requirements are at least equal to those imposed by federal law. The commissioner
may accept, from the United States department of agriculture, advice and assistance in planning
and otherwise developing the state meat inspection program; technical and laboratory
assistance and training, including necessary curricular and instructional materials and
equipment; and financial and other assistance for the administration of the program.
