1.This chapter does not apply to an individual processing the individual's own animals
and the individual's preparation and transportation in intrastate commerce of the
carcasses and meat food products provided the animals are for the exclusive use of
the individual, members of the individual's household, the individual's nonpaying
guests, and employees.
2.The provisions of this chapter requiring inspection of the slaughter of animals, the
preparation of the carcasses and meat and meat food products at establishments
conducting those operations do not apply to the custom processing by a person of
animals delivered by the owner for processing, and the preparation or transportation in
intrastate commerce of the carcasses and meat food products of the animals, provided
