Text
1.If a motor vehicle is stopped, standing, or parked along the interstate system, or a
multilane highway outside the limits of a city, with flashing hazard warning signals, the
driver of an approaching or passing vehicle shall proceed with caution and yield the
right of way by moving to a lane not adjacent to the stationary motor vehicle if the
move may be made with due regard to safety and traffic conditions or if not, the driver
shall proceed with due caution, reduce the speed of the vehicle, and maintain a safe
speed for the road conditions.
2.This section does not relieve the driver of a stationary motor vehicle from the stopping
requirements and restrictions provided under section 39-10-47 or from the lamp
restrictions provided under section 39-21-26.
