Any incorporated city or other municipality may by ordinance require that the driver of a
vehicle involved in a crash shall file with a designated city department a report of such crash or
a copy of any report herein required to be filed with the director. All such reports must be for the
confidential use of the city department and subject to the provisions of section 39-08-14.
