§ 39-05-08 — Application to be checked against certain indexes

North Dakota·Title 39 Motor Vehicles·Ch. 39-05 Title Registration

The department shall maintain a vehicle identification number index of registered motor
vehicles and upon receiving an application for a certificate of title it shall check first the vehicle
identification number shown in the application against such index.
