85-7-306 . Development of water supply -- levy for expenses. The board of commissioners of such irrigation district shall have authority to develop the source of supply and increase the means of distribution of water to the end that all owners of water rights under the system shall receive the amount of water which can be beneficially used upon their lands within the district. The board may levy against each irrigable acre of land in the district on account of administrative expenses, cost of maintenance and repairs, development of water supply, or enlargement of distribution facilities.
