§ 85-7-2019 — Refunding Bonds

85-7-2019 . Refunding bonds.

(1)Any irrigation district may issue refunding bonds.
(2)An irrigation district may issue refunding bonds for the purpose of redeeming or paying the indebtedness or any portion of the indebtedness of the district, whether represented by existing and outstanding bonds, interest coupons, or warrants, including accrued and unpaid interest on the bonds, coupons, and warrants, and whether the indebtedness is due or not due or has or may become payable at the option of the district, by consent of the bondholders or warrant holders, or by any other legal means and whether the indebtedness is now existing or may be created.
