§ 45-7-204 — False Alarms To Agencies Of Public Safety

45-7-204 . False alarms to agencies of public safety.

(1)A person commits an offense under this section if the person knowingly causes a false alarm of fire or other emergency to be transmitted to or within any organization, official or volunteer, that deals with emergencies involving danger to life or property.
(2)A person convicted of an offense under this section shall be fined not to exceed $500 or be imprisoned in the county jail for any term not to exceed 6 months, or both.
