33-20-1212 . Notice as to conversion right. If an individual insured under a group life insurance policy or certificate delivered in this state becomes entitled under the terms of the policy or certificate to have an individual policy of life insurance issued to the individual without evidence of insurability, subject to making an application and payment of the first premium within the period specified in the policy and if an individual is not given notice of the existence of the right at least 15 days prior to the expiration date of the period, then the individual must have an additional period to exercise the right, but this section may not be construed to continue any insurance beyond the period provided in the policy. The additional period expires 15 days after the individual is given
