44-2-402 . Dental examination -- records -- report.

(1)If the coroner cannot identify a body, the coroner or the state medical examiner must have a dentist examine the body, and if the body cannot be identified from the dental examination, the coroner or state medical examiner shall send the dental examination results to the department of justice on a form supplied by the department.
(2)The department is a repository for dental examination records filed with it under this section. The department shall compare the records with dental records filed with it pursuant to 44-2-401 in an attempt to identify the body and shall submit any findings to the coroner or state medical examiner.
