§ 44-2-303 — Federal Cost Sharing

44-2-303 . Federal cost sharing. The attorney general shall contact federal law enforcement agencies or officials regarding cost sharing in the criminal justice information network. If federal funds are available, the attorney general may enter into cost-sharing agreements with the federal agencies. If federal funds are received in a biennium for which Montana funds have been appropriated, the funds must be deposited in the network's account and must be used, if possible, to reduce the spending of money appropriated from the general fund.
