37-16-402 . Hearing aid dispenser license required -- qualifications -- fee.

(1)An applicant for a license shall pay a fee fixed by the department and shall show to the satisfaction of the department that the applicant:
(a)has a current license as an audiologist under Title 37, chapter 15; or
(b)(i) has a high school diploma or equivalent;
(ii)meets training requirements established by department rule; and
(iii)has passed an examination prescribed by department rule.
(2)An applicant who has not met the training and examination requirements in this section may apply for a trainee hearing aid dispenser license as prescribed in this chapter and department rule.
