1.It is hereby made the duty of every warehouse, merchant, or common carrier, or agent, servant or employee thereof, to permit any agent of the commission to examine any package in the possession of said warehouse or common carrier, or agent, servant or employee thereof, which the said commission agent shall suspect or have reason to believe contains any wildlife not lawfully transported or had in possession, or when any such agent of the commission shall suspect or have reason to believe that the said package is falsely labeled.

Neither the commission nor any such agent or officer shall be liable for damages on account of any search, examination or seizure made in accordance with the provisions of sections 252.010 to 252.240 .
