Text

1.The department of health and senior services may contract for such facilities as are necessary to carry out the functions of sections 199.010 to 199.350 . Such contracts shall be exempt from the competitive bidding requirements of chapter 34 .

2.State payment shall be available for the treatment and care of individuals committed under section 199.210 only after benefits from all third-party payers have been exhausted.
