Subdivision 1.Duty to provide information. A person who the director has reason to believe is responsible for an emergency release shall, when requested by the office or an authorized agent of the office, furnish to the director any information that the person may have or may reasonably obtain that is relevant to the emergency release. Subd. 2.Access to information and property. The director or an authorized agent, upon presentation of credentials, may:

(1)examine and copy any books, papers, records, memoranda, or data of any person who has a duty to provide information under subdivision 1; and
(2)enter upon any property, public or private, for the purpose of taking any action authorized by sections299J.01to299J.17, including obtaining information from any person who has a duty to prov
