Subdivision 1.Metropolitan area school districts. At a school district election in a school district located in whole or in part within a metropolitan county included in the definition of metropolitan area in section200.02, subdivision 24, the school board, by resolution adopted before giving notice of the election, may designate the time during which the polling places will remain open for voting at the next succeeding and all later school district elections. The polling places must open no later than 10:00 a.m. and close no earlier than 8:00 p.m. The resolution shall remain in force until it is revoked by the school board. Subd. 2.Other school districts.
