Subdivision 1.Commissioner's authority. The commissioner of veterans affairs may allow public or private social service, educational, or rehabilitation agencies or organizations and their clients to use the facilities, staff, and other resources of the department and may require the participating agencies or organizations to pay for that use. Subd. 2.Appropriation. There is a veterans affairs resources fund in the state treasury. All money received by the department pursuant to subdivision 1 must be deposited in the state treasury and credited to the veterans affairs resources fund. Money from the veterans affairs resources fund is appropriated to the commissioner for operation, maintenance, repair of facilities, associated legal fees, and other related expenses under subdivision 1.
